Sales Manager (SaaS Sales)

Location: Nottingham 2 to 3 times a week and hybrid but not remote

Salary: £60k to £70k inc bonus up to £25k

My client is a hugely successful global business, employing a team of over 350 passionate innovators. Their mission is clear; to make business communication brilliant by becoming the leader in ‘Messaging’ for Local Enterprises in Europe, the US and Australia

They have ambitious growth plans to expand their already impressive product portfolio and they recognise the their ‘People’ are their biggest asset.  They are now looking for an experienced New Business Sales Manager to join their Commercial Department and lead our new business team.

The Role
As the New Business Sales Manager, you will be accountable for the New Business team. You will be responsible for guiding new and potential customers through the entire sales process; from the generation of leads and first point of contact to negotiations and deal closure.

What will you be accountable for?

  • The entire new business sales funnel and team, currently made up of SDRs, Telesales and BDMs
  • Developing short, medium and long-term strategies to drive the team to achieve its revenue targets
  • Supporting the team to develop compelling win strategies, focussed on strategic prospects
  • Training and coaching the team to ensure the development of team members
  • Be an expert at driving all elements of the sales funnel, from appointment generation with SDRs to face to face/virtual conversions with BDMs
  • Managing the weekly forecast and reporting for Revenue and Gross Profit
  • Develop a high-performance growth culture to attract, develop and maintain top sales talent
  • Conduct regular one on one meetings with the team to review activity metrics, pipeline building, review calls, review target account lists and discuss training and development
  • Building collaborative relationships with other key company stakeholders

What they are looking for:

  • Experienced Software  Sales Manager with a proven track record of managing new business sales teams ideally with a background in strategic/portfolio selling
  • Proven success running effective outbound sales campaigns across multiple industry sectors
  • Data-focused and analytical; able to quickly assess key activity metrics and make recommendations using this data. Ideally Salesforce Experience
  • An effective “hands-on” manager continually participating in sales calls and providing feedback, coaching and training to improve performance
  • A thought leader and subject matter expert (from a sales perspective) for the products their team delivers to customers
  • A problem solver, able to work with others in the organisation to quickly identify issues, and propose creative and efficient solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, including experience of all aspects of the sales cycle and workflow generation
  • Ideally you will have experience with telecommunication or business messaging solutions
