Recruitment Consultant – Primary Education

We are currently working with a highly respected education recruitment business based in Barnsley who are looking to grow their Primary Education team with the appointment of a Recruitment Consultant.

Location: Barnsley
Full-time – On Site

The Role

You will be working within the Primary Education desk, supporting schools with their staffing needs and building strong, long-term relationships across the region.

Responsibilities include:

• Working closely with primary schools to manage staffing requirements
• Sourcing, screening, and placing education professionals
• Building and developing client relationships
• Supporting the growth of an established desk
• Developing your own desk over time with full support and training

The Ideal Candidate

This role would suit:

• A trainee with sales experience or the right personal attributes (driven, resilient, outgoing, and commercially minded)
• OR an experienced recruiter from education or temporary recruitment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A motivated, proactive, and tenacious approach
• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment

Salary & Benefits

• £26,000 – £35,000 + commission, basic for trainee level
