Recruitment Consultant – SEND

We are currently working with a highly respected education recruitment business based in Barnsley, who are looking to appoint an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join their SEND team.

This is an excellent opportunity to take over an established desk with an existing client base, supported by a live contract already in place and strong underlying activity. The role offers a solid platform for someone looking to step into or progress within the SEND education recruitment sector.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and developing a SEND desk, working closely with schools, provisions, and education settings across the region. This is a full 360 recruitment role, including both business development and candidate resourcing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and growing an existing SEND desk
• Developing relationships with schools and SEND provisions
• Sourcing, interviewing, and placing education professionals
• Building long-term client partnerships
• Driving new business and expanding desk performance

The Ideal Candidate

This role would suit someone with:

• Previous recruitment experience, ideally within education or SEND
• Alternatively, experience working within SEND schools or provisions with a desire to move into recruitment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, commercially aware approach
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

The Offer

• Basic salary £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
