Software Developer – Microsoft .NET, Umbraco & Power Platform

This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile Software Developer who enjoys variety and wants to work across a broad Microsoft technology stack. You’ll be involved in supporting, enhancing and developing a range of business applications, websites and integrations, with an increasing focus on Microsoft Power Platform solutions.

The business is looking for someone with strong hands-on .NET development experience who is also keen to expand their expertise within Power Platform technologies.

Please note, due to the hybrid nature of the role, candidates will need to live within a commutable distance of Sheffield.

The Role

You’ll work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver practical, user-focused solutions across a varied technical environment. Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and enhancing existing .NET applications, websites and internal systems
• Working with Umbraco-based websites and portals
• Developing APIs and supporting system integrations
• Enhancing and developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power BI
• Investigating and resolving technical issues across multiple systems
• Supporting CRM-related functionality and integrations
• Helping improve and evolve Power Platform capability across the business

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to speak with developers who have strong commercial experience across Microsoft technologies and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.

Experience in several of the following would be highly beneficial:

• .NET / .NET Core development
• Microsoft Power Platform – Power Apps, Power Automate & Dataverse
• Umbraco CMS or similar platforms
• API development and integrations
• SQL Server / T-SQL
• Git version control
• CRM systems or plugin/customisation work

• Comfortable supporting existing systems as well as developing new functionality
• Interested in developing deeper Power Platform expertise
• Adaptable, organised and able to manage changing priorities
• Strong communicator with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Enjoys working collaboratively whilst also being able to work independently
