With more than 30 years’ experience, our client partners with developers, infrastructure organisations, local authorities and public sector bodies to deliver communications, consultation and engagement strategies across transport, regeneration, sustainability and energy projects throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth and an upcoming maternity cover requirement, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Account Manager to join their Transport & Sustainability team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced communications, consultation or stakeholder engagement professional who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and enjoys working on projects that genuinely shape communities, infrastructure and sustainable development.

The Role

You’ll lead the delivery of high-profile communications and engagement projects, managing senior client relationships while supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members.

Working closely with Directors, you’ll play a key role in strategic communications planning, stakeholder engagement, public consultation activity and overall client delivery.

The position would particularly suit candidates with experience working within:

• Communications agencies
• Public sector communications
• Local authority engagement
• Infrastructure, transport or regeneration projects
• Stakeholder and community consultation environments

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic communications and stakeholder engagement projects
• Manage senior client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
• Deliver consultation and engagement strategies across transport, regeneration and sustainability schemes
• Oversee project timelines, budgets and quality standards
• Lead workshops, presentations and stakeholder meetings
• Support business development activity and identify opportunities within existing accounts
• Mentor and support junior colleagues across the team

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in communications, consultation or stakeholder engagement
• Experience working with public sector organisations, local authorities or infrastructure clients
• Confident managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Excellent relationship-building and client management skills
• Commercial awareness and strong project delivery capability
• Previous agency experience would be highly advantageous
• Passion for meaningful engagement and community-focused communications
