Location: Rotherham (Free parking and within walking distance of Parkgate Shopping Centre)

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 basic + Uncapped Commission

Anna Maher Recruitment is delighted to be working with a growing and highly respected recruitment business that is looking to appoint an ambitious Recruitment Consultant to join its successful Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) division.

This is an exciting opportunity to specialise in one of the UK's fastest-growing sectors, with a particular focus on the booming Renewables market. You'll recruit skilled blue-collar professionals across commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure projects nationwide.

Joining an established team, you'll benefit from the support of an experienced Managing Consultant who already has a warm client base and a strong pipeline of business, giving you an excellent platform to build and develop your own successful desk.

Whether you already recruit within M&E or have experience in another blue-collar recruitment sector, this role offers genuine career progression within a supportive and ambitious business.

The Role

As a Permanent Recruitment Consultant, you'll manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from business development through to successfully placing candidates into permanent positions.

You'll become a recognised specialist within the M&E, Engineering and Renewables markets, building lasting relationships with both clients and candidates while growing your own portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities through networking, business development and client meetings.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, delivering an exceptional recruitment service.

  • Source, screen and interview skilled candidates for Mechanical & Electrical vacancies.

  • Manage vacancies from initial client brief through to successful placement.

  • Write engaging job adverts and advertise vacancies across multiple platforms.

  • Proactively search for candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, referrals and networking.

  • Build and maintain a strong talent pool of qualified M&E professionals.

  • Complete candidate compliance including Right to Work, qualification and reference checks.

  • Negotiate salaries, fees and terms with both clients and candidates.

  • Arrange interviews and manage the recruitment process through to offer and placement.

  • Maintain accurate records using CRM and recruitment systems.

  • Achieve individual and team KPIs, including placements, revenue and business growth.

  • Attend client meetings and site visits when required.

  • Develop expert market knowledge within the growing Renewables sector.

  • Commercial & Domestic Gas Engineers

  • Multi-Skilled Engineers

About You

We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated recruiter who enjoys building relationships, winning business and delivering excellent customer service.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous recruitment experience, ideally within Construction, Engineering, M&E or Industrial recruitment.

  • Experience recruiting blue-collar or technical professionals.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong business development and sales experience.

  • Confidence negotiating with both clients and candidates.

  • The ability to manage multiple vacancies in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach.

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience using recruitment databases and CRM systems.

  • A full UK Driving Licence.
