Business Development Executive

Location: Rotherham

Salary: up to £25k plus great bonus scheme and OTE of £32k in the first year

Are you an experienced Business Development or Sales Executive? Are you a people person who goes above a beyond to deliver results and an excellent service? We have an exciting position for a Business Development professional who can not only win new business, but nurture the client to develop ongoing business opportunities.

My client is an independent specialist recruitment partner who work’s on a national scale to provide an all-encompassing solution to clients across Construction and Property, Mechanical and Electrical, Civil Engineering, Industrial and Business Support.  They pride themselves on providing a flexible service for their customers, tailoring their services to suit their needs.  The team are proud to be able to support clients with all their recruitment needs without having to go to multiple agencies.

You will report to the Branch Manager and work alongside the Candidate manager with the responsibility to drive New Business, client management and development and the reactivation of previous users for the sector.  You will be required to manage and develop strong customer relationships, work with the candidate manager to ensure we are delivering on service and quality. identify opportunities within current and new customer base and work to targets as a team to build a solid pipeline to achieve the forecast for the division.

Your hours of work will be between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday with additional hours required during busy periods.

Main duties and responsibilities are outlined below:

  • Weekly call round to all current customers
  • Daily sales calls to database to pick up new business and bring back on lapsed clients.
  • Regular drive rounds to drop into potential companies and construction sites.
  • Book and attend sales meetings for new business.
  • Regular use of social media platforms to promote our services and available candidates.
  • Building a strong client database to maintain a consistent pipeline of roles to fill.
  • Ensure all activity is recorded on the company database.
  • Manage client relationships and look to develop further business to increase the revenue from them.
  • Ensure we carry out regular client visits and service reviews to constantly deliver an excellent service.
  • Work to exceed monthly targets.
  • To assist with resourcing and filling roles where necessary to fulfil customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent sales, business development and customer service skills
  • Experience of working to targets
  • Knowledge of the Construction industry (not essential)
  • Good IT skills
  • Be driven and self-motivated.
