You will have the autonomy to take ownership, identify opportunities for improvement and introduce practical ways of working that support continued growth.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys variety, thrives on responsibility and takes pride in keeping a business organised and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

As Business Support Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Business Administration & Process Improvement: Taking ownership of administrative systems and processes, ensuring they effectively support project delivery and wider business operations.

  • Systems & Information Management: Maintaining key business systems and ensuring information is accurate, accessible and up to date.

  • Health & Safety Administration: Supporting the maintenance of incident records, audit documentation and health and safety communications.

  • Project Support & Document Control: Maintaining project records, dashboards, drawings, reports and management information, including site set-up and project close-out documentation.

  • Day-to-Day Operations: Coordinating shared mailboxes, diaries, travel, accommodation, company assets, workwear and office and site supplies.

  • Business Profile: Supporting the business’s wider profile through social media updates and maintaining its online capability document.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying gaps, streamlining processes and introducing practical, consistent ways of working to support future growth.

About You

You will be an experienced administrator, business support professional or office manager who is confident taking ownership of a varied workload and managing responsibilities independently.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in administration, business support or office management.

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and see tasks through to completion.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to identify and implement improvements.

  • A good understanding of compliance, document control and record management.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new business systems quickly.

  • Clear, professional communication skills and the confidence to build relationships and follow up actions at all levels.

  • A high level of accuracy, discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.

  • A strong sense of accountability, with the initiative to work independently and anticipate what needs to be done.

Experience within the construction sector would be particularly beneficial, especially in relation to project documentation, subcontractor compliance and health and safety administration.

Salary & Working Arrangements

  • Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum.

  • Contract: Full-time, permanent.

  • Initial working arrangement: A combination of working from a Sheffield city centre office and from home.

  • Permanent office location: A new office in either Rotherham or Doncaster.

The business is currently in the process of establishing its new office, which will become the successful candidate’s permanent working base.

Until the new premises are ready, the role will operate on the initial working arrangement outlined above. Once the new office opens, the position will be fully office-based, with no ongoing hybrid working arrangement.
