Payroll Administrator (Part-Time, Fixed-Term)

Location: Sheffield, S1

Salary: £28,000 pro rata DOE

Type: Part Time, Fixed Term (6 months maternity cover)

We’re working with a busy and well-established recruitment business in Sheffield who are looking to bring on an experienced Payroll Administrator to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced recruitment environment and has strong experience managing high-volume weekly payroll for temporary workers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring candidates are paid accurately and on time, while providing a reliable point of contact for payroll-related queries.

The role will include:
•    Processing high-volume weekly payroll for temporary workers
•    Managing timesheets and ensuring accuracy and compliance
•    Responding to payroll queries from candidates and clients in a professional and timely manner
•    Maintaining accurate payroll and candidate records
•    Supporting payroll reporting and internal processes
•    Working closely with consultants to resolve any payroll issues efficiently

What we’re looking for:
•    Proven payroll experience within a recruitment agency or similarly fast-paced environment
•    Strong understanding of weekly payroll cycles and temporary worker payroll
•    Confidence using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
•    Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
•    A calm, methodical approach when working to deadlines
