Our client is an international provider of software solutions dedicated to simplifying the lives of schools and teachers. Their products and services prioritise the needs of educators, making them trusted and innovative solutions in the education sector.

They came to us at Anna Maher Recruitment, in search of a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Partner to join their HR team, someone with a deep understanding of recruitment and a specialisation in SaaS sales recruitment, which is quite a niche market.

Initially, they didn't believe they would need the support of an agency, after receiving over 80 applications for the role. However, none of the applicants had the SaaS sales experience the company was looking for. Eventually, the client approached us to source an HR professional with experience in this specific niche market.

How we won the business:

We initially secured a place on the Preferred Supplier List (PSL) through personal networks, which allowed us to participate in a competitive tender process.

What set us apart was our ability to meet the client's specific requirement of finding a candidate with experience in SaaS sales recruitment. We dedicated a significant amount of time to comprehensively understand the organisation's culture, the ideal fit for the role, and the specific knowledge and skills they were seeking.

The Hiring Process

We employed a multi-pronged approach. We advertised the role on various job boards and leveraged our extensive social media networks. Additionally, we maintained an active database of potential candidates who might not be actively looking but were interested in hearing about suitable opportunities. In specialised sectors like this, particularly for senior roles, LinkedIn proved to be an invaluable resource.

Three potential candidates with the requisite skill set were identified. Establishing a rapport with these individuals was pivotal, and we provided them with in-depth information about the client, going beyond what was mentioned in the job description.

Result:

We received two applications from the candidates we had identified. But our star candidate was found through headhunting on LinkedIn. We took the initiative to explore competitor companies within the region and approached potential candidates with similar roles.

The client was highly impressed that we were able to find a candidate who perfectly matched their needs and was ready to hit the ground running.
